The HCM City Department of Industry and Trade has asked authorities in all 21 districts and Thủ Đức City to develop plans to reopen traditional markets and wholesale markets from October 1.

To support small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, HCM City authorities have instructed traditional markets to reduce their rents by 50 per cent for six months.
Convenience shops in HCM City are giving traditional markets and even
supermarkets a run for their money as they become more popular with
local residents.
